She has an assigned beat of student life at the University of Iowa, however, her editors allowed leeway when it comes to covering other news around the area. Her articles include a wide range of stories from hard news to profiles.
Design
Mangra-Dutcher became a staff designer at The Daily Iowan after being on staff for a few months. She aided and designed multiple pages in the print paper ranging from front pages, 80 Hour fronts, Amplify fronts to projects and inside pages.
